Felton, California, 95018 at the foot of the San Lorenzo Valley
Felton is a vibrant community that has a close knit feel and is home to many who make the commute over the hill, but want the country atmosphere. It has large name stores as well a local merchants who sell a smattering of goods and services.
Located approximately 20 minutes to Santa Cruz and 12 minutes to Scotts Valley, it is a great place to live. Nearby is the Christian retreat of Mt Hermon which has a variety of homes in the trees and religious events. Located about 10 minutes east of Felton are the storied areas of Lompico and Zayante.
The town has a rich history of lumbering and still has a large lumber yard there. The old Santa Cruz lumber yard in town is now named Lumbermans. There are a few spots to eat in Felton, from the good fast food place Taqueria Vallarta, which is over the JB’s Restaurant location to fancier places like La Bruschetta. The Covered Bridge is a rare sight in California and is a beautiful structure. While these are much more common in the Midwest , this one is a beauty after having major restoration.
