Santa Cruz Beach House Search- East Santa Cruz-Seabright

East Santa Cruz is a great place own a beach house to hang out and relax at. The area of east Santa Cruz is definitely different from the west side. The main difference on the beach is that there is only one beach in East Santa Cruz, the highly regarded Seabright Beach.This beach used to be known as Castle Beach.

Santa Cruz beach houses and Seabright and East Santa Cruz real estate for Sale

There is a neighborhood right there where the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural is (it has a whale in front that kids always play on) has lots of cute beach cottages and cabins, many of which have been remodeled. The streets there are Pilkington, Doane, Forbes,Alhambra, Mott and Cypress. Families have been coming to this beach for generations. Across Atlantic Avenue is the area called the "Avenues." There is First through Fourth. The Yacht Harbor is on Fourth. These homes and lots are generally larger than the beach homes by the Castle Beach area. If you go on the other side of Murray street, the home prices are a bit cheaper, but that does not mean inexpensive. This is a great area as it is easy walking to dinner or lunch at Seabright Brewery. There is generally parking available. The beach is a bit more wide open like Main Beach, probably a bit more wind protected and I think is a bit nicer all around. On the other side of the Yacht Harbor is the Live Oak area and you can find more of that area and the beaches and beach houses in Live Oak with this link.

On the "avenues" side there are homes on the bluffs and home that look down the streets with nice ocean views. There are also some beach homes in the Castle Beach area with ocean views and most of them start in the mid millions and up. Charming and  quaint are descriptions that come to mind, and eclectic to others.
