The City of Santa Cruz is considered the heart of Santa Cruz County. Situated on the northern part of beautiful Monterey Bay, Santa Cruz has Carmel-By-the-Sea and Monterey located just 45 minutes to the south. For those considering working in San Jose, it is only about 30 miles away to the north. Santa Cruz has all the history of the west, thrown in with all the magic of the sea and surfing. The climate is mild year round with average temperatures varying in the 50's in winter and the mid 70's in summer. Rainfall averages around 30 inches and principally falls October-April.
