Westmont Place, Santa Cruz, California Real Estate

Westmont Place is located very close to the University of Santa Cruz ( UCSC) and is favored by those who work there as well as the community at large. This development was done in the late 90's and was designed by locally noted architects, Thatcher and Thompson. There are 54 town homes that feature 2 room/ 2 bath models. These town homes are typically around 1100-1200 square feet.

This real estate development also has some detached homes also. Most of this development utilizes cluster housing, which feature space efficient homes with common driveways. These typically have small yard, but that is offset by the fact that there is the University Terrace Park across the street.  They are nicely done with maple floors and cabinets, and granite counters. The open design has vaulted or high ceilings, which lends to a spacious feeling, as well as front porches. These homes vary in size from 3 bedroom, 2 and half baths, generally around 1300 -1500 square feet, up to about 2300 square feet for those off of Meder Street . These larger homes on Meder street are 4 bedroom, 3 bath models and have all the fine amenities of the other units. Directly across the street there is the Moore Creek Preserve  in which you can check out the birds and butterflys'. This is a very nice housing development that you could call home. The schools are Santa Cruz City with the elementary being Westlake Elementary, which is close by. The streets are Nobel and Robinson, and this area is searched under area 43.
