The Woods Cove neighborhood development off Graham Hill Road was formerly Henry Cowell's land, as was all of UCSanta Cruz. It is a prime piece of real estate that abuts the San Lorenzo river at the bottom. It is located next to the horse show grounds on Graham Hill Road. This development was long in the making and came out of the ground in 2003 by Standard Pacific development. It features 60 high-end homes on larger lots, towering redwoods and pretty settings. Nearby, in easy walking distance, is Henry Cowell park, a place where one can hike and ride horses. While you are not allowed to own horses here, Santa Cruz Horsemans Center next door adds a nice touch as the development has a decided upscale feeing.
