Beach Hill, Santa Cruz
Beach Hill is a cool area across from the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in the upper area. The lower area is called beach flats and houses many of the workers that support the major tourist attraction. This mall has an eclectic bunch of shops, art galleries, clothing, food and other things of interest. The 9 Plex cinema (click here for times) has great seats and a wide array of movies.
Many historic buildings, inns, souvenir shops, and restaurants. Within easy walking distance to downtown Santa Cruz, the beach, cliffs, a skate park, and more.
The historic Victorian cottages on Beach Hill known as the Carmelita Cottages, is still in the process of restoration. These buildings are part of a Santa Cruz City park and are being completely restored through the fundraising efforts of the volunteers of the Santa Cruz Hostel
