My child is in 2nd grade and has been in the Dual Immersion Program since Kinder. The program is incredibly successful. My child did not speak a word of Spanish when she entered and she is bilingual and biliterate in Spanish and English - at a 2nd grade level, of course. (Most of the day in Spanish at the beginning of the program was a bit daunting, but the loving, caring, smart Kinder teachers are amazing in supporting kids through the first few difficult months.)The program adds English incrementally each year until, by 5th grade, teaching is done 50%/50% English/Spanish. The Dual Immersion Program allows both English speakers and Spanish speakers to thrive educationally. There is an extremely committed and involved parent/teacher community in the program and a solid, active Parent Teacher Club for the school, in general. Extra music and arts programs are a great bonus.

The teacher is great, the classrooms are great, the principal is great, the other parents are great - when we moved we made sure to stay in the district because of the school.
