You and your well-behaved dog are allowed at this Victorian farmhouse built in the 1870s. It is situated on over 2 acres with fields, gardens, and apple orchards. There are also many farm animals such as horses, chickens, goats, ducks and geese. They have three double rooms and two suites with antique furniture. Each of the five rooms have private baths. Room stay includes a full breakfast, and afternoon and evening refreshments. Rates are $120 per night and up. There is a $25 charge for a dog, extra person or crib. No smoking is allowed indoors. This bed and breakfast is located on Soquel Drive, near Cabrillo Jr. College. From Hwy 17 south, exit Hwy 1 south towards Watsonville. Take the Park Avenue/New Brighton Beach exit. Turn left onto Park Ave. Turn right onto Soquel. It will be near Atherton Drive and before Cabrillo College.

Polo Grounds Dog Park

This one acre off leash dog park is fenced and includes water and benches. The park is open during daylight hours. To get there, take Highway 1 and exit at Rio Del Mar. Go left over the freeway and turn right onto Monroe Avenue (second stop light). After Monroe turns into Wallace Avenue, look for Huntington Drive on the left. Turn left on Huntington and the park entrance will be on the left.

Britannia Arms Restaurant

Britannia Arms Restaurant and Pub serves some great British food and beer. They have one table in front, but the majority of tables are in the back. The seats on the back patio have shade umbrellas. This restaurant is located close to the Forest of Nisene Marks State Park (see Parks). To get there from Hwy 17, exit Hwy 1 south towards Watsonville. Drive through Santa Cruz and Capitola on Hwy 1 and then exit at the Seacliff Beach/Aptos exit. Turn left onto State Park Drive. Then turn right on Soquel Avenue. The restaurant will be on the left.

Cole's Bar-B-Q

This award winning BBQ establishment has one table outside for customers who bring their canine companions with them. Dogs must be attended to at all times, well behaved, and leashed.

A well-behaved dog is allowed in the Secret Garden Room. This room offers a private enclosed garden that includes an outdoor hot tub for two, a small sitting area with gas fireplace and comfortable reading chairs, private bathroom and more. There is a $25 one time pet charge. Please abide by the following pet rules. If your dog will be allowed on the furniture, please cover it first with a sheet. If you take your pooch to the dog beach, please rinse him or her off in the outside hot and cold shower before entering the room. This bed and breakfast does offer a VIP (Very Important Pets) program for your pooch. This includes a dog bone, water bowl and poop bags upon arrival.

Michael's on Main

Known for their back to basics "cutting edge comfort cuisine" in a friendly, casual setting, this restaurant allows dogs on their patio. Dogs must be well behaved, leashed, and cleaned up after.

Capitola

This inn is located a few blocks from Capitola Village. They offer 56 rooms with either a private patio or balcony. There is a $20 per day pet charge.

New Brighton State Beach

Rich in natural and cultural history, this park also has various marine and land habitats to explore and a variety of recreational opportunities. Dogs of all sizes are allowed. There are no additional pet fees. Dogs may not be left unattended outside, and they must be on no more than a 6 foot leash at all times, and cleaned up after. Dogs are allowed to walk on the beach. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground.
