The Monte Foundation has been doing the fireworks event along with games and music for 15 years. This event is their way to help raise money for local schools and other charitable events. The Monte Foundation, which is run by the family that owns our local gourmet grocery store, Deluxe Foods in Aptos, has been involved in this wonderful annual event and is it’s unique creator.
Whilst it is about the only fireworks display one sees in the Santa Cruz area, earlier this year was a very nice one done for the city of Capitola’s 60th birthday. That was great, but a rare event. The Monte Fireworks is always nice too an eagerly looked forward to by local residents. But don’t miss all the fun events during the day down at Seacliff State Beach. Tickets for this event are $15 today and $30 the day of the event. So get you tickets at:

Parking and a shuttle is usually done from Cabrillo College as over 30,000 people attend this even popular event.
So go out and buy a ticket to fun. Your kids and you can enjoy music, fun and games at the beach. Our own local Babe Marissa Miller will be here as well as a number of different musical genre’s. So go out have fun, dress according for the beach, hot and cold, and take your water, money to spend for food and games and sunscreen.
The area and exits to the park are closed off, so be sure to park at Cabrillo for best results.
