US Veterans

Some information for Veterans who might qualify for a special program to assist them with senior care needs.

The Veterans Aid & Attendance Special Pension program was designed to help Veterans and surviving spouses with financial aid to ensure on-going care.Some veterans may receive benefits while receiving care in assisted living communities.Below are some of the minimum requirements to see if you might qualify.


US Veteran
  •    Veterans must have active duty for at least 90 days. 
  •    Veterans must have active duty for at least one day minimum duty during a war.
  •    They must have had a medical diagnosis that they require regular assistance and care.
  •    Their liquid assets must below $80,000. The assets exclude your home, car.

Once you have submitted your application, the processing may 60-180 days.To inquire if this program may be one you qualify for, call the Veterans Administration at1- 800-827-1000. You can also visit on line at www.vba.va.gov
