They are well situated as Mar Vista Elementary School is close by, as well as Cabrillo College. Close by, within easy walking distance, is Seacliff. The Rancho Del Mar shopping center has a Safeway and a Rite Aid as well as many other shops, restaurants. It is located behind Aegis of Aptos, a senior facility near the small shopping center.
