Halloween at the Boardwalk

The iconic Santa Cruz boardwalk amusement park is full of spooky fun for Halloween weekend. Come out on October 30 from noon to 7 PM and purchase a trick-or-treat package. You can either purchase your tickets the day of or in advance. Each ticket holder will receive a bag for trick-or-treating throughout the boardwalk area and a $10 my boardwalk card to enjoy the park. The boardwalk card can be used any day you wish.

There is also a costume contest open for participants of all ages and prizes are awarded for various different categories. Those looking for something extra spooky can enjoy the fright walk

Annual Fall Festival at Chaminade Resort and Spa

This event takes place on October 22 starting at 4 PM. It is a favorite fall tradition among Santa Cruz locals. Families come and enjoy the bounce house and face painting along with live music and food and of course plenty of trick-or-treating opportunities. For those looking for a spooky adventure you can check out the haunted forest event at 6:30. Children aged for years and under are free and tickets are $20 per person for all other guests.

Capitola Village Halloween Parade

If you live in Capitola Village you can enjoy all of the local fun neighborhood festivities of Halloween right outside your door. Beginning at the parking lot above City Hall at 1:30 on October 30 the parade will begin and wind through the neighborhood down to Esplanade Park. Those participating in the parade can enjoy free refreshments and a trick-or-treat goodie bag.Visitors to the neighborhood are welcome too.

13 Days of Halloween on the Wharf

Locals really love this event that takes place from October 19 through the 31st in Santa Cruz at the Wharf. All of the businesses along the wharf will be hosting and participating in a number of different Halloween-themed events and offer Halloween-themed specials. Some of the activities include carnival games, scavenger hunt, zombie night, prizes, and more.

Pumpkin Carving at the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History

Fun lovers of all ages are invited to participate in the outdoor pumpkin carving event on October 22 from 11 AM to 2 PM. Make sure to bring your own pumpkin and tools and enjoy carving up your perfect pumpkin alongside friends. You can also purchase a pumpkin on-site. There will be a maritime mysteries and monsters exhibit at the museum for enjoyment as well from October 4 through November 6.
