The Vineyards Homes in Scotts Valley
The Vineyards were a development done in the early 90's if I recall. We thought they were going to be a problem to sell at the foot of the hill on the on a dusty lot by Hwy 17. These large homes with many bedrooms for larger families coupled with 2 and 3 car garages was what the market found appealing. The Mediterranean/Spanish style homes were well received, as they had features that were not commonly found in Santa Cruz County.
They have several models, the Merlot, the Cabernet, the Bordoux, and Zinfandel. These homes ranged from about 3 bedroom 2 bath 1900 square feet single level homes, to 5 bedroom homes of about 2788 square feet. These stucco homes are nicely kept up and there are association dues for the front yards maintenance. The streets are wide and there is a pride of ownership. Close by are 3 features that are popular. Within a short walk is Siltanen Park, and the highly acclaimed Vine Hill Elementary is within easy walking distance. Also nearby is Scotts Valley High School,.The commute location is good and shopping is close by as well. A nice place to live and call home.These homes are usually in the $1-1.25 million dollar range as of 2017. The Vineyard's homes in Scotts Valley have streets with names such as Zinfandel, Bordoux, Cabernet, and Reisling.
