West side Santa Cruz is different from East Side Santa Cruz in many ways. For those who prefer the downtown Santa Cruz living or are going to UCSC, the westside condos are the way to go. The complexes on the west side are generally larger and a number are designed for the student owner in mind. Search by map the complexes that may be what you are looking for. West Side Santa Cruz condos vary from ocean fronting location to those by the university and in town. For the purposes of the Santa Cruz MLS, the search for west side condo is divided by Ocean Street. All those to the west side of Ocean Street are considered west side, including those downtown, and to the east of Ocean Street are the East side Santa Cruz condos.
